We didn't set out to be
a technology company.
Focus Group spent ten years with technology that never worked as it should. The failures were never dramatic, just a steady, costly frustration that everybody stopped mentioning because nothing ever changed. Slow responses. Problems that came back. Advice that never arrived.
We tried the obvious fix. Three times.
The obvious solution was a better provider, so we tried, three times over. Each attempt cost time, money, and a bit more faith, and left us exactly where we began: just another number to them. By the third failure, the conclusion was hard to avoid. The problem wasn't which provider we'd chosen. It was that what we needed didn't seem to exist.
So we built it.
We built our own internal IT function, staffed by like-minded people who share our values, and it solved the problems a decade of providers couldn't. We handled our own migration away from the service provider. And because that same function carries our own development expertise, backed by 12 years of software engineering experience, we could build the internal software our employees needed day to day, removing manual tasks through automation and custom-built solutions. We built our own group intranet, consolidating multiple tools into one platform we control, and brought AI into the business where it made a real difference.
And then the realisation: we're not special. This is a problem businesses everywhere share. Same frustrations, same failed migrations, same manual work nobody has time to fix, same uncertainty about AI. We'd built the provider we couldn't find, and it turned out other people couldn't find it either.
That's Focus Ai Technologies.
Not an IT company that learned about business. A business that learned to do technology, and now does it for businesses like ours. And we refuse to treat anyone the way we were treated.
Senior people, deeply involved, treating every client like they matter, because that's exactly what was missing in the ten years we spent on the other side of this relationship. We know what you need day to day, because we need it too.
You focus on business. We'll do the tech.
Why we answer the phone
Every part of how we work comes back to one experience: knowing what it feels like to be a ticket number. That's why, when you call us, a person who knows your business picks up.
Built by the people who lived it
The same people who ran Focus Group's technology through the migration, the automations, and the AI work run every client engagement today. Senior people, deeply involved, with no account managers between you and the person doing the work.
- 1 Number to call, and a human answers
- 4 Services under one roof: IT, security, automation and AI
- 8 Areas scored in every Baseline Assessment
- 12 Years of software engineering behind what we build
Three principles behind every engagement
The same voice runs through our proposals, our support tickets, and our code.
Clear, not clever
We communicate in plain language and focus on measurable outcomes, keeping technical detail relevant and free of unnecessary jargon.
Partner, not vendor
We manage your IT, build the tools that run your business, look after your security, and guide you through the age of AI. Shared goals, honest trade-offs, and accountability long after go-live.
Support that answers
Real people who know your setup and respond when you need them. Fast, straight answers, not ticket queues and canned replies.
